As a former hurler who has been involved in coaching and selecting teams ever since, I am aware of the necessity for players to train with a top quality sliotar similar to that being used in league and championship games. As a result I was determined to to provide a sliotar that would pass the GAA’s strict criteria for sliotar quality but also a sliotar that would last the pace of day-to-day training at a price that was competitive and affordable. So, after extensive testing to achieve a top quality sliotar, I have brought the O Meara Championship sliotar to the market. It has superior quality leather that will dry quickly and perform equally as well after drying. At the request of clubs requiring a durable, waterproofed sliotar at a reasonable price I have introduced the O Meara Supreme sliotar to the market.

RUDD’S OFFICIAL SPONSORS OFFALY CAMOGIE 2015/17
It is a pleasure to announce that we are the official sponsor of the Offaly Senior Camogie team. This new deal sees Rudd’s sign-up to a 2-year sponsorship, with the hope of expanding this partnership in the future.
Offaly Camogie has been playing at senior level since 2011 having won Junior Premier in 2009 and Intermediate in 2010. The current panel still include a number of the original team, with new players also now on board, many of which having seen success at underage. All hopes are that this year will see the Offaly team claim senior honours.
Captain Sheila Sullivan has been with the team from the start and designed the new jersey. “It was great to be able to have the opportunity to design the new jersey that myself and the team will wear, and to wear it for the first time for our match in Birr is a great way to kick-off the new sponsorship. Holding the launch night in the County Arms is also a fitting tribute to our previous sponsors, and on behalf of the team I would like to thank them for their support”.
Rudd’s continue as Offaly camogie sponsor 2017/18
Under new management of Loughnanes Rudd’s of Birr will continue their sponsorship of all OffalyCamogie teams. Their sponsorship of Offaly camogie has developed Offaly players throughout the county while building brand awareness through women in sport. Rudd’s featured on all age group of Offaly camogie jerseys from the u14 development squad right up to our senior team. In 2017 Rudd’s also featured on the junior Offaly camogie team which returned to the playing field making the number of teams sponsored by Rudd’s to five. The Rudd’s brand also gained national coverage through the Camogie Associations Facebook channels covering games and also featuring on the Sunday game twice this season. Rudd’s came on board as sponsors in 2015 which seen a new style jersey carry the Rudd’s logo, in 2017 Offaly changed their jersey back to a traditional design with Rudd’s again featuring across the front.
We look forward to another successful season with Rudd’s. Loughane’s is also a family-owned business. It began with a butcher shop in Galway in the 1970s and graduated to manufacturing two decades later. The company is well-known, particularly in the west of Ireland and is also makes sausages and puddings. It is based in Galway and employs 170. Offaly camogie wishes Loughnane’s/Rudd’s the very best with the acquisition of Rudd’s in Birr.
